The Schools to Watch School Transformation Network enters its second year of innovation to support educators from three sites: North Carolina, California, and Illinois. These schools will receive considerable support to continue reform efforts through the U.S. Department of Education’s i3 grant program. This year, schools in this effort will focus on a variety of issues including mathematics instruction, and some of that will happen through the Mathematics Improvement Toolkit. We’ll share details of this here shortly, but encourage our peer innovation network participants to explore the toolkit to see some of the resources we’ll be delving into over the next few years.
While the Mathematics Improvement Toolkit has been out for some time now, so of you are just stumbling upon this resource now. One of the best resources to help you identify the toolkit components that are best for you and your school is our webinar series. While we are working on possible presentations to share in the future, we have hosted a number of webinars that address the different resources within the toolkit. We’re recorded and archived these webinars as a resource for you to learn about the toolkit and the ways in which it can support mathematics learning and instruction in your school.
